KEM actively seeks collaborations with both local and international partners to enhance its reach and effectiveness. Its programs are designed to align with the missions of educational institutions, churches, and humanitarian organizations. By fostering partnerships with stakeholders who share similar values—such as educational equity, faith-based service, and sustainable development—KEM ensures mutual benefit and increased impact through resource sharing, cultural exchange, and programmatic innovation.
The school was founded by local community members in difficult situation with the aim to provide better education service to the children in most under privileged community in a remote border land of Myanmar in Kachin State.
The school had started with few dedicated teachers and well wishes community members so called Nawng E Hku Mission Primary School in 1992, led by Rev. Nhkum Doi La. The school has been an independent community run school since its inception with an assigned school management committee.
Since 2003, the school has become a missionary school under direct supervision of Board of Trustee selected by Executive Committee of Sama Baptist Association, and being managed through a school management committee.
By the grace of God, since 2011 we could promote with special curriculum of English and changed the name of the school so called; Sama Association Mission High School.
Mutual respect, truth, righteousness, faithfulness, love, voluntarism, creativity, invention, holistic development, ecology, brave, love for culture, tradition, and beauty of traditional art.
Starting from the Primary level, the Mission School is to be upgraded gradually through the Middle to Higher Institution level until it becomes a Mission Oriented Institute where future well-trained leaders and good citizens are to be systematically nurtured in the fields of respected culture and tradition, and politics.
